Navrati originated in southern India. This 9-day festival celebrates the 9 forms of the goddess Shakti. Each day, a new incarnation is celebrated, and with it a new color. The triumph of good over evil is also celebrated. Candles are lit and traditional costumes are donned. Believers pray and feast. Energetic, colorful and captivating traditional dances are organized in the evenings, notably by the Singapore Gujarati Society. It's possible to attend.
