Discover Trinidad & Tobago : One of the most beautiful carnivals in the world.
Often compared to Rio, the Carnival of Trinidad and Tobago is one of the most beautiful carnivals in the world and without a doubt the most important in the Caribbean. It is celebrated every year in Port of Spain. This exceptional carnival officially lasts two days, Fat Tuesday and Ash Wednesday, but its organization begins long before. It is a colorful celebration where music resounds and extravagant costumes are displayed. It has its roots in African traditions and celebrations of slaves who were brought to the Caribbean by European settlers. Over the years, Carnival has evolved into a celebration of Trinidad & Tobago's culture, art and music. Its highlight is Mardi Gras, when the streets of Port of Spain are filled with ubiquitous characters dancing to the wild rhythms of Soca, Chutney and Calypso.
