Night transport
Public transport remains limited after 7pm. However, there are a few solutions for night workers and night owls.
Kar'La'Nuit. This night-time transport service, set up by Kar'Ouest, is aimed at anyone wishing to travel throughout the western region (La Possession, Le Port, Saint-Paul, Trois-Bassins, Saint-Leu). All you need to do is register on the MyMobi application or at www.karouest.re. You can then book your night-time journey (at least 1 hour in advance). The service operates from Sunday to Thursday, from 8pm to 1am, and from Friday to Saturday, from 8pm to 5am.
Noctambus. The Alternéo network has set up an on-demand night-time transport service, available on Fridays, Saturdays, the eve of public holidays and during the short school vacations: Noctambus (www.alterneo.re). These night buses are available on reservation, between 8pm and 4am, in the communes of Saint-Pierre, Saint-Louis, Petite-Île, L'Étang-Salé and Les Avirons. To book your trip, call 02 62 55 40 60 (Monday to Friday, 8am to 12pm and 1pm to 3:30pm), no earlier than eight working days in advance and no later than 24 hours before your trip.
