A legendary 55km high-mountain race through the three cirques with international champions.
A legendary 52 km high-mountain race (8,000 m cumulative vertical drop), open to all, provided you're in good physical condition. The race qualifies for the Grand Raid. It's a demanding course, which takes in difficult trails, to circumnavigate the Piton des Neiges via the three cirques (Cilaos, Mafate, Salazie). The 29th edition of this landmark race, formerly known as the Marathon des cirques, then the Cimasalazienne, took place on August 26, 2023. The best runners complete the course in under 7 hours.
