Back on the island of beauty this year for the WRC drivers who had deserted Corsica for 7 years! Started in 1956, the race of a thousand curves has delighted many drivers and spectators with its technicality, its landscapes and its unique atmosphere. Bernard Darniche and Didier Auriol (6 victories each) drew the legend of the Tour of Corsica. Henri Toivonen in 1986 and Attiglio Bettega in 1985 were victims of fatal accidents. For the 2015 vintage, the course navigates between Ajaccio and Bastia over 987 km including 9 special stages of 332 km. Dantesque weather conditions (floods, landslides, roads cut on Friday) spoilt the pleasure of the spectators and made the task difficult for the drivers. Victim of a puncture, the new 2015 world champion Sébastien Ogier is sinking down the rankings. This Saturday morning Elfyn Evans is in the lead but nothing is played by Sunday noon.
