The Fête des Couleurs marks the beginning of spring. All over the street, young and old alike are armed with water pistols filled with coloured powder and engage in battles. In joy, everyone sprays themselves with paint. On this occasion, bhang lassis are allowed - remember that this yoghurt (lassi) and marijuana (bhang) drink is usually only sold in government bhang shops. Put on some old clothes!
