The Marine Atlantique ferry company provides access to the island of Newfoundland. Two ferry connections are offered from North Sydney, Nova Scotia: Port aux Basques year-round (crossing time: approx. 7 hours) and Argentia from mid-June to the end of September (crossing time: approx. 16 hours). Numerous services on board, including cabins (1 to 4 people), restaurants and bars, a play area for younger guests, board games, a souvenir and craft store, etc.
