Every two years, these extraordinary games showcase athletes and sports typical of the Arctic regions of the globe.
The Arctic Winter Games are held every two years in various Nordic countries. Nine circumpolar regions send teams: Alaska, Yukon, Northwest Territories, Northern Alberta, Nunavut, Greenland, Yamal (Russia), Nunavik (Quebec) and Sapmi (Scandinavia). It's the world's largest Nordic, cultural and multi-sport event, with a special focus on Arctic sports. The next edition, in 2026, will be held in Canada, more precisely in Whitehorse, Yukon. A must-see!
