This is still an important museum in this city, decidedly richly artistic. The Basel public collection focuses mainly on paintings and drawings of artists from the upper Rhine and the Netherlands from 1400 to 1600, but also in art of the th and th centuries. In particular, the museum has the largest collection of Œuvres family works, and then there is the Renaissance with Schongauer and Grünewald. Cubism, German expressionism and American art since 1950 are not the same.
