DOP FRANCE
Who doesn't remember the famous slogan: "Don't sting your eyes, avoid knots?" DOP is one of the many brands of the L'Oréal Group. Many of the products in its range have been awarded the Origine France Garantie label.
History. The history of DOP goes back to 1933 when Eugène Schueller, a chemist of Alsatian origin and founder of L'Oréal, invented the first modern shampoo - Dopal - which was called DOP the following year. It was marketed in the form of berlingots in the 1940s, in small individual doses. It is from 1999, that the berlingot will be adapted to the family format.
Taking a close interest in the family, DOP does not only want to make women's hair beautiful and shiny but also children's hair. This soap-free shampoo, very easy to use at home, will undergo several revolutions. In 1948, DOP created powder shampoo to the detriment of cream shampoo. In 1970, the brand launched the new DOP Familial, the best-selling product made up of eggs, vitamin oils, chamomile, herbs and lemon. In 1993, children saw the arrival of a range of products specific to their needs: soft and fruity shampoos that do not sting the eyes.
In May, the brand launched a range of vegetable shampoos (cucumber, beetroot and avocado) and shower gels with unique Haribo and Chamallow candy flavours.
Products. Shampoos, conditioners and shower gels.
Employment. The DOP brand is produced in 3 L'Oréal plants. Gauchy (Aisne), for dry shampoo sprays, Aulnay-sous-Bois (Seine-Saint-Denis) for conditioners, Rambouillet (Yvelines) for shampoos and shower gels.
