PARIS RANDO VÉLO
The association Paris Rando Vélo, created in 1998, organises each Friday evening (at 9:30pm) and every third Sunday of the month (at 10:30am) totally free rides in the streets of the capital, starting from the town hall. Safety and conviviality are the slogans. Great success, they regularly gather more than 500 cyclists during each weekly meeting. Security conditions are optimal with the systematic presence of a supervision of about forty people and a French Croix-Rouge vehicle in case of emergency. The trips that are organised during these rides vary weekly although some rules are to be respected each time. Organisers are therefore required to organise strolls that last 2 hours and a half to 3 hours and to make cyclists to cover distances between 25 km and 30 km. All the rides are held in Paris and although the ideal is to come with your own bike, it is also possible to rent one nearby. Beware: rides are cancelled in case of bad weather for obvious safety reasons.
