Since 1802, we have been celebrating the commemoration of the birth of Robert Burns. All of Scotland celebrated the poet and his works.
For almost two centuries, the national celebration of the birth of the poet Robert Burns has been held. Many events are taking place across the country. It all began in July 1801, when the poet's relatives gathered to celebrate the fifth anniversary of his death. The famous haggis was tasted and the artist was honoured by playing his works and giving speeches in his honour. The evening was a success. It was then decided to repeat the event, but in a more festive way, on the day of his birth: January 25.
