CARDHU DISTILLERY
Located in the middle of green landscapes, Cardhu distillery offers a unique personality to its whiskies. In the heart of the Speyside, founded by James Cumming in 1824, the brand made its place in the world of single malts, and the distillery had to expand and became a family affair. After James Cardhu's wife, her daughter-in-law Elizabeth in 1885, rejoined the company's reindeer: very quickly the demand was very strong and the family had to sell because of a much too strong production, at Johnnie Walker and Sons. After the two wars, the operation of the distillery was more effective and new developments resulted in an increase in production. Cardhu really specialized in his single malt after a test of pure malt without success… To recognize the Cardhu, vanilla notes, honey accompanied by softness, all of this in a glass bottle all in fine.
