EAGLE'S BEAK
This geologic curiosity owes its name to its rock shaped towards the state-of-the-art sky and inspired its name. Formed by a rubble, a stone-coated agglomerate rock of the sand and polished by the erosion, some parts exposed to the sun grow into increasing cavities. This large rock easily identifiable from La Ciotat farm and protects the bay. It overlooks the botanical garden of the Mugel Park, the calanques of Grand Mugel, the Petit Mugel and the Sec. It is the last point of the Soubeyranes cliffs. From its semaphore you can admire a magnificent view of La Ciotat and Green Island on one side, the massif of the Calanques on the other. From that point, you can go and return to the top of the cliffs that peak at 394 meters by following the hiking path towards Cassis.
