Created in 1987 by Paco Ignacio Taibo II, a Mexican writer of Asturian origin, this literary festival is one of the most popular in Europe, combining literary and festive elements. Like a great festival of culture in the street. At the beginning, it was mainly dedicated to crime literature, but it has gradually expanded to include new genres, such as classic literature, science fiction and comics. Throughout the festival, the public can attend concerts, exhibitions and conferences as well as enjoy local gastronomy.
