CAMINO SANTIAGO
Go there and contact
The Camino de Santiago is a historic pilgrimage route across Europe. Most pilgrims arrive at Santiago de Compostela via the "French Way", but there are also six other routes. The apostle Santiago, whose tomb was discovered on this route, is a central figure in this story. People of all origins and conditions have walked these different routes, whether by faith, judicial conviction or canonical condemnation. Romanesque art reached its apogee in the 11th and 12th centuries, thanks to the cultural influence of pilgrimages. The regions of Navarre and La Rioja are of particular importance in the history of the Pilgrim's Way to Santiago, with lands where several routes meet and a wealth of history, culture and art.
