BODEGAS JUAN CARLOS SANCHA
This estate in the D.O. Rioja appellation is run by Juan Carlos Sancha, oenologist and university professor. He takes great care in maintaining his 5-hectare vineyard, which is certified organic and does not use any chemical or insecticide treatments. In the cellar, the work is little interventionist, as artisanal as possible. A great singularity unites his wines, all of which are aged in muids (500-liter barrels) and made from rare varieties such as the Maturana Tinta. The bodega offers four wines, one of which is a grenache, Peña El Gat, from century-old vines.
