CASTLE OF INTROD
Neo-Gothic castle on a promontory between the waters of the Savara and Doire de Rhêmes torrents.
Château d'Introd, built on a promontory "between the waters" of the Savara and Doire de Rhêmes torrents, features a polygonal crenellated structure that seems to encircle a central square keep. Built in the 12th century, it was sold in the early 20th century to the Turin banker Gonella, who undertook a complete restoration and gave it its neo-Gothic appearance. It is open to the public during the summer months: its most interesting features are the large original kitchens and the Renaissance stables, known as ôla, located opposite the main building.
