HOUSTON ART CAR PARADE

For more than 30 years, Houstonians have flocked to the annual Art Car Parade, a parade of impressive, sometimes very kitschy and creative sculpture cars. One of Houston's biggest events, this unusual parade is an extension of the Texas folk art culture and is out of the ordinary for Texans themselves. Sometimes it's worth going even if you're just a car enthusiast, as there are some beautiful vintage cars on display. Between 2020 and 2021, the parade was cancelled due to the pandemic, but was revived in 2022.
