When to go Louisiana ?
Spring and fall are the best times to visit Louisiana. Not only are the flora and fauna buzzing with activity, but it is also during these periods that festivals and events of all kinds take place without a break. Summer should be avoided because of the high temperatures and the risk of hurricanes, while winter is the time of the carnival. Note that if the prices are low in the summer, plane tickets are sold at a high price for this period.
The temperature in Louisiana is a function of its subtropical climate, with a very hot summer and a mild winter. January - the low season - has the lowest temperature (10°C) while during the high season (July/August) it rises to 40°C. In the summer, both on the Gulf Coast and inland, regular downpours and an abundance of mosquitoes can make Louisiana's weather a misery. The tropical storm season runs from June to November.
