A trip to the United States is always unique. In this immense country, the different states are all reasons to treat yourself to a getaway, no matter what time of year it is. When planning a trip to the United States, the choice of destination is not necessarily the simplest thing to do, as the possibilities are so wide and the worlds so different. In the TOP destinations, those that inevitably seduce travellers from all over the world, we find New York and Florida. If the atmosphere of these two territories is different, here are the arguments that each of them can put forward to make visitors experience a moment from which they do not return unscathed
New York, strolling through a unique megalopolis
Even when you've never set foot on New York soil, you feel like you know her. A gigantic city, a city that never sleeps, it serves as the setting for so many films and television series that each of its monuments, each of its neighbourhoods, speaks to everyone. However, New York is a city that must be experienced from the inside, to realize its diversity, its vastness and the endless possibilities of visits it offers to travelers. We start by going to Times Square to experience the unmissable: meet in the middle of the buildings of the Manhattan district, go shopping and then stop to taste some specialties, savory or sweet. A stay in New York is also a must to enjoy one of the most beautiful panoramas in the world, one that allows you to observe the skyscrapers, to spot the different neighborhoods and to have the feeling that the urban area never ends. To do this, we join the Empire State Building and Top of The Rocks. From the different neighborhoods, don't miss out on Brooklyn, for a walk on the bridge, enjoy the green spaces, admire the Street Art and sit in a bar with a hipster atmosphere. One Sunday morning, we reach Harlem, the cultural capital of Black America, then we land in a church to experience a magical moment around gospel music. Another day, why not take the subway to Coney Island, New York's mythical beach with its old school attractions and hip-hop dancers on the sand. New York is also culture in profusion, with the legendary MoMA, a museum dedicated to contemporary art, the Metropolitan Museum of Art and its rich collection of European paintings or the Guggenheim and its amazing architecture. Other experiences include boarding a ferry to see the Statue of Liberty, walking along the Highline, the former disused railway line that has been converted into a park, and viewing works of art and buildings with innovative architecture. Finally, in winter as in summer, a walk in Central Park allows you to sit and breathe in the green lung of the city. To discover all these riches, the various New York Passes are an excellent alternative. You can order them on the internet, receive them at home and once there, no need to take your money out, you have easy access to the main tourist sites, all while saving a lot of money
Florida, the sunshine destination
Going to the United States can also be synonymous with a stay under the sign of the sun, and for this, Florida is the ideal place. A trip to Florida offers the opportunity to discover dynamic and surprising cities, as well as enjoy the joys of the beach, all year round. There is Miami, the nerve centre where you like to visit the splendid Art Deco monuments, before landing on Ocean Drive and taking a break at the beach. As a family, we take the road to Orlando, to spend time in its many amusement parks and then stroll through its streets with Latin American influences. In Jacksonville, enjoy the warm welcome of the locals and admire the picturesque scenery offered by the town from a boat along the St. Johns River. Lovers of water activities can easily reach the surrounding seaside resorts to go kitesurfing, paddle and kayaking on the miles of beaches. In Florida, there is no shortage of attractive cities, but you must also travel through this unavoidable southern state of the United States for its natural curiosities. For example, an expedition to the Everglades National Park takes you on a bicycle or boat trip through the largest subtropical desert in the country. Accompanied by a guide, on land or at sea, you can learn more about the biodiversity of the region and have the chance to see some of the 30 protected species such as the Florida panther, the manatee, as well as alligators and crocodiles. And what about the Keys, an archipelago of more than 200 islands, which begins in southern Florida and extends several hundred kilometres further into the Gulf of Mexico. Linked by bridges, we take the time to stop in some of them to enjoy the Caribbean atmosphere and do a few scuba diving sessions. We stop in Key Largo or in Islamorada to discover the fauna and when we finally arrive in Key West, we stroll in front of the coloured wooden houses, we pass by Ernest Hemingway's house before reaching the beaches, their tropical atmosphere and the feeling of being at the end of the world which adds to a total change of scenery
