As with restaurants, taxes and tips must be added to the final bill. All forms of payment are generally accepted.
Age restrictions
In Florida, as everywhere else in the United States, alcohol consumption is legally permitted from the age of 21. This law is strictly enforced. Remember to keep your passport with you, as it may be required to verify your age. Without valid identification, you will not be able to order or consume alcoholic beverages.
What's very local
Finish your meal with a slice of Key lime pie, Florida's most popular dessert. This lemon pie is made with Key lime, a small lime from the Keys. Almost every restaurant in Florida has it on the menu!
In Miami, especially on Ocean Drive, you can enjoy huge cocktails served with two straws. To share, or not!
Kids
Children are allowed to enter a bar with their parents if it is also a restaurant. After 9pm, entry may be refused.
Smokers
Smoking is prohibited in the vast majority of Florida bars. A fairly specific exception is for bars that are stand-up and make less than 10% of their revenue from serving food.
