Carnival is traditionally celebrated on all the Balearic islands just before the start of the Lenten period.

It traditionally takes place on all the Balearic islands, just before the start of the Lenten season. Although Carnival is particularly important in Palma, the smallest of the Pitiusas also celebrates the event with enthusiasm! On the program: colorful costumes, decorated floats, lively music, traditional songs and dances... The dance competition is the highlight of the celebration. Carnival in Formentera is an excellent opportunity to immerse yourself in the richness of the local culture.
