Restaurant with typical Flemish architecture for poultry lovers.

Located opposite the Grand Place de Lille, this small, typical Flemish architecture makes the most of regional dishes. Among the numerous specialities offered to guests, the volaille of poultry accompanied by vegetables and creamy sauce, as well as the famous Flemish Stew, with beer grilled beef and brown brown. As its name indicates, the restaurant also offers the tempting beer-chicken, which will delight the bird-lovers… and hops. Regional cheese plates (Maroilles, Cats'mount, Old Lille) and rich desserts will satisfy hungry visitors in their visit to the Capital of Flanders.

Does my pleasure, when it make beautiful? For lunch on the terrace on the Large Place au Coq Hardi! You will tell me, there are many restaurants in this district, Rihour and all these brasseries... But I really have a favourite for this brand. Here you can have lunch for €12.60 with a starter and main course and dessert, and it is fairly rare Grand Place.

This menu is abundant and products are quality, friendly service, and the owners do not balk to give you explanations on the origin of the main courses, or the products.

If you are lost on the Grand Place not know where to restore... Washbasin with the Bold Coq!
Excellent value for money on the regional menu less €20 with andouille dish or flamiche to maroilles, then coq beer or Flemish carbonade then tart brown sugar. Waiters nice and full of humour, one good!
we have a few weeks ago to discover the famous coq beer... the meat was rather dry and had not prepared in sauce. The sauce poured on the cockerel was good. Therefore, a little disappointed by the meals...
