Opened in spring 2015, Au Comptoir des Fossés is the new address in Lille for all lovers of good food. It is with the family that the owners of the premises decided to take over the business. The two brothers, one of the sons in the service and Papi Gino who is passing breezed. They are well these two Neapolitan origins who invite you to discover a rich menu of a thousand flavours. As a starter, let yourself be seduced by the Tatin tart with tomato with flavours of the South, or by the eggplant millefeuille with salmon. Among the unmissable dishes, the risotto with scallops and the fondant steak with maroilles will delight the curious taste buds. The desserts are not left out with the delicious French toast of yesteryear accompanied by its vanilla-cinnamon ice cream and pistachio-raspberry shortbread pie. The house also offers a mozzarella tasting dish with the real buffalo milk straight from Italy. The portions are generous, the products are fresh and the dishes are beautifully presented on the slates. Between the meals, you can ponder the quotes written on the table mats. The simple decor contributes to give the place a brasserie atmosphere where young and old, from Lille and passing visitors are welcomed with warmth and good humour.
