THE SHERLOCK PUB
Ideal restaurant for a quiet meal for fish lovers in Lille.
Located on Solferino Street, commonly known as the Lille's «rue de la soif», this establishment could have been just one of the most important ads. However, more than drink at the Sherlock Pub in Lille (two other signs are located in Verdun and Reims), we eat! And even quite well… At the premises of the old disco'l'Warehouse ', this pub restaurant opened its doors. Needless to say, the places are vast, yet surprisingly warm! It should be said that the woody decoration, wood panelling and the numerous paintings and photographs that adorn the walls give the place an authentic and very cosy character. The tartan tartan les leather chairs echoes the kilts worn in the room. The atmosphere is both warm and intimate, thanks to the alcoves of fluffy benches surrounding the main main pieces: the ideal for a more quiet meal. When talking about meals, how do I not mention the impressive Sherlock Pub card? The traditional cuisine is enhanced, including the famous Flemish stew or potjevleesch. Instead, fish lovers will opt for the net of royale à with the cream of morels accompanied by steamed apples and green asparagus. As for meat fans, the choice will prove elusive between burgers and tempting meats, like steak steak, accompanied by fresh fries and salad, and delight the hungry. To water it all, the range of drinks offered is just as extensive, whether it be cocktails, beer, and especially wines from French or Chilean varieties. In dessert, lovers of sweet sweets will turn to the Tiramisu house with spéculoos. Only advise the biggest eaters, because the Sherlock Pub servings are generous, and well presented. The only drawback concerns the service: staff, although professional and friendly, sometimes tend to be somewhat overloaded in the event of high attendance. However, it is indicative of the excitement aroused by this institution, which is still young, and which wins to be known.
