Maison Giard is a true business institution in Lille and one of the advocates in the history of the city. Since 2003, it was François Giard who perpetuated the family tradition. In the small bookstore located near the Ghent Gate, almost confidential, hundreds of valuable books cover shelves and libraries. The volumes of the Pléiade parallel English books specialised in ancient painting, maps of the city correspond to historical prints. Most books are signed and numbered by the original publishers.
