This small bar located in the typical district of Old Lille is an institution! An unmissable meeting place for rum lovers, La Pirogue has established itself over the years as the HQ for summer evenings thanks to its charming terrace. The Caribbean sets the tempo, even if salsa and afro music follow one another for the greatest pleasure of the clientele. As for cocktails, the menu is varied but anyone who has tried the Zazou, the famous home-made mixture with its secret (and treacherous!) recipe, can only keep a memorable memory of it.

Un ami a eu la mauvaise expérience de se faire jeter dehors et frappé par l'un serveur de ce bar pour la seule raison qu'il est gay.
Je vous invite donc à boycotté ce bar, il y a beaucoup trop de bar sympa à Lille pour encourager ce type de pratique incroyable pour cette époque ...
Je suis extrêmement déçu et ne retournerais jamais à cet endroit.
Original: they serve goudale in the bar! But do not go there for beer, but rather for Hep, the speciality of the bar. Second point over appreciated: a large terrace, open when the weather is nice.
It is often armoured and yet the bar is quite large but it has an excellent reputation, it is always full with world.
This place is my treasure Lille! I must acknowledged that I lived 3 years with 2 pas de this fantastic place where atmosphere, a warm welcome, humour, flavours, sense of festivals and I go from... took along me much further to Lille!
I still recommend and always living much further away for some month, I have not allee there on foot, but I always get there because there are places that you can not do!
