L'AFTER HOURS
A little isolated from the other local student gathering places, the After Hours imposed its own brand. In terms of a student bar (which still makes up most of the clientele), it is a real small part of Ireland that offers this all-wood pub. In addition to the inevitable pressure beers from the cru and Ireland (famous Kilkenny and Guinness), the bar also offers the possibility to dine with a small carte of burgers, sandwiches, fries and tapas. The mood is festive, especially the evenings of football or rugby match. And of course, a pub called After Hours could only offer "happy hours"; and in Happy Hours, customers can enjoy their bottled at the price of half (about 3,50 €). An excellent location in the heart of the city.

Although After Hours is a rather classic bar pub but filled that easily function
After a rather warm welcome (the owner had even asked guests to change table to install us in the basement we were 10), things were really spoiled.
First of all, a waiter came to take ordering drinks. It went up to prepare order and he returned with the receipt while asking us to pay what we did not yet on the table. We mentioned to him that we want to restore us, but it required that we pay the drinks, including by us informing that it had too many guests who left without paying. Of course, you can have it. But it is difficult to leave 10 the basement reminiscent of itself. In short. As it did not have any currency, one has to manage between us to give the exact money. First disappointment.
Then the owner came to take the orders for the snacks. Even scenario, before even having our dishes, we have to regulate. Still not of currency, some thus pay by credit card. All seems correct. The first dishes are brought back, and the waiter comes to tell us that it misses 22,60€. One remakes the accounts of each one. Nothing to make. The owner returns, a little furious, to ask who does not have to pay, by knowing that the snacks went from 4 to 10€. He request the receipt of credit card for those which chose this method of payment, one recounts, in vain. It is specified to him that the waiter had gone up to seek currency with the tickets, and that the cash desk should be checked. He wants nothing to hear. The crisis settles. The owner goes up, and returns 5 minutes afterwards to claim due imaginary. He asks again the written proofs of payment, some start to lose patience, and they are understood.
Finally, the evening was missed, and we still don't know what became these 22,60 €.
Wouldn't it have been more advisable to notch on the ticket the gradually regulated drinks and dishes, and enjoy currency before coming to box?
Was this the first time that the waiter was in charge of the service? If such is the case, it is necessary to put it at plunges or to learn how to him to count.
Old fashioned i very well that everyone must pay its drinks. But we were 10 and each could check that its neighbour had paid what it owed, as most had regulated by menu, and the rest did not represent all claimed fee.
Anyway, we will not return to this bar, run by a staff that does not seem worthy of the task to fill. If you get there, bring currency or paying by card in order to avoid any problems. A word to the wise…
