A "mini-braderie" much appreciated by the inhabitants of Lille. You can shop, party and watch the waiters race!
A few months before the Grande Braderie, Vieux-Lille organizes its own braderie. While it obviously attracts fewer out-of-town visitors, this event is very popular with the locals. It's also an opportunity to witness an original race: that of the waiters! The aim is to complete a course as quickly as possible without spilling the contents of your tray... a real spectacle! In the evening, the Avenue du Peuple-Belge comes alive with music.
