The Regional Directorate for the environment, development and housing implements the policies of the State, including the Grenelle laws. Under the authority of the prefect of the region, it acts in favour of sustainable development, in particular by encouraging companies and individuals to use eco-technologies. It pilot the implementation of policies of the Ministry of Ecology, Sustainable Development, Transport and Housing in the region. To achieve this, it mobilizes a capacity for expertise and engineering for the State, but also gives the floor to civic participation through associations.
