CROIX DU NORD
Founded on 21 November 1889 by Abbé Henri Masquelier (also at the origin of the Catholic University of Lille), Cross du Nord is inspired by the newspaper La Croix and appears daily. Its first ambitions are to propagate the Christian faith and to counter the thrust of anticlericalism. In 1968, the newspaper became weekly. A weekly Christian newspaper distributed in the departments of Nord and Pas-de-Calais (12,000 copies). The Rédaction is composed of four journalists and fifteen correspondents distributed throughout the territory. Northern Cross deals with regional information and devotes several pages each week to the news and vitality of the Church in the dioceses of Lille, Arras and Cambrai.
