LILLE BELFRY
Belfry of Lille, with a hundred of steps and a view to 50 km in the round, classified as world heritage by Unesco.
Built by the architect Dubuisson between 1924 and 1932, the belfry of Lille has a hundred of steps to climb before reaching the elevator. Once at the top (104 m high!), you can enjoy a view of 50 km around. This workers' belfry, commissioned at the time by a socialist town hall, faces the belfry of the chamber of commerce and industry, the one of the bosses, located in the town centre. The town hall was classified as a historical monument in 2002. Its belfry has been on the Unesco World Heritage list since 2005.
