THE MUNICIPAL ARCHIVES OF LILLE
More than just a place of conservation, the Lille Municipal Archives is a place of discovery and reappropriation of culture, the history of the city. They are free to provide visitors with thousands of documents that can be consulted either on the online archive of archives or in the reading room. It can accommodate up to 12 readers who receive personalized hospitality and assistance from archivists. The oldest document dates back to 1088, but in general all the proposed archives outline the history of the city from the th century to the present. The archives also offer numerous workshops and thematic visits for schools, as well as exhibitions on various topics.
