LASÉCU
An exhibition space promoting cross-cultural and generational exchanges, featuring photographs, paintings and other works.
Lasécu is a place of exposure rather focused on contemporary art. Its originality lies in the fact that the rather impressive places are other than the old premises of the Primary Health Insurance Fund… hence its name! At the walls of this gallery: photographs, paintings, all genres are located in the center of the city. Lasécu is involved in various collective projects: windows that speak, transphotographiques or Lille 3000. Lasécu opens to all audiences and promotes intercultural exchanges and intergenerational exchanges, taking advantage of other cultural facilities, such as the Médiathèque or the Massenet Theatre. But what differentiates Lasécu from other art galleries is undoubtedly its artothèque, a kind of library where you don't borrow books but… works of art! Thanks to artothèque, Lasécu makes art and allows contemporary artists to gain visibility. A truly original way of bringing art back to all homes!
