LA BRÛLERIE CHARTRAINE
As soon as you enter, you're overwhelmed by the pleasant smell of coffee, and with good reason: in the narrow, brightly-colored store, the roaster is bustling before visitors' eyes, releasing delicious aromas. Opposite, burlap sacks contain coffee beans of various origins, which are also sold ground... But it's not just for coffee lovers: tea lovers will also find something to their liking, with an entire wall devoted to Dammann Frères tea tins, featuring 6 local specialities, each with a more poetic name than the last: "Chartres en lumière", "Bleu de Chartres" and "Baiser de Chartres"..... At the back of the store, everyone can take a moment to savour a cup of tea or coffee, but the cramped space limits the number of seats... Nevertheless, the welcome is always kind and attentive, and the advice is always invaluable.
