AXIANE MEUNERIE
Axiane Meunerie is one of the leaders in the manufacture and marketing of flour in France. It favours the use of cereals and ingredients of French origin, and processes its products in France, as shown by the logo of the Origine France Garantie label on certain products. Red Label and Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) certifications. It is also a member of the association Produit en Bretagne and has the Eurofeuille Organic Agriculture label for some of its flours.
History. Axiane Meunerie's origins date back to 2009 through the association of four major milling groups: Grands Moulins de Chartres, Moulin du Coutelet, Groupe AMO and Les minoteries Cantin. It is thanks to an ancestral know-how that Axiane Meunerie has been able to specialize in all miller trades.
Axiane is the milling sector of the Axereal group, the leading grain collector in France. Since July 1, 2015, it has united its milling activities with those of Dijon Céréales, the first agricultural cooperative group in Burgundy Franche-Comté, thus forming the second largest milling group on the market.
Employment. Today, Axiane Meunerie has 600 employees, 10 mills (Caen, Chartres, Gallardon, La Jarrie, Vivonne, Reuilly, Maure-de-Bretagne, Semblançay, Vincelles and Saint-Maurice-sous-les-Côtes), 6 logistics platforms and 7 sales offices that sell 420,000 tonnes of flour per year.
The products. The 10 mills, run by nearly 250 people, produce a wide range of conventional flours (through the Banette and La Croquise brands) and organic flours (Lemaire): wheat flour, rye flour, wheat flour, brown flax flour, wheat flour with stone wheel... They are made according to precise and rigorous specifications that meet the requirements of the artisanal bakery. Axiane also produces bagged flours such as buckwheat flour from the Tréblec brand, recognised by Produit en Bretagne.
