Behind Chartres's former hospital, the garden of the Hotel Dieu is one of the main green areas of the municipality. First of all, this park offers a breathtaking view of the Loir valley and the castle. In addition, this area in the heart of the historic quarter welcomes a playground for children. Finally, the garden of the Hotel-Dieu bears the memory of Saint Vincent de Paul. Under the bust of the priest in the middle of the flowers, a plaque recalls that he was the founder of the religious community that operated the hospital.
