MAGASIN D'USINE DAMMANN
History: In 1692, Louis XIV granted Sieur Damame the exclusive privilege of selling tea in France. The beginning of a long history... In 1825, Dammann Frères bought Derode, a tea and vanilla trader. He then took over the activity of a tea shop in Batavia. In 1925, Pierre and Robert Dammann managed the company and opened a spice counter in Tamatave. A year later, and under the impetus of Véra Dammann, a tea shop was opened in New York. Over the years, various innovations have revolutionized the world of tea consumer protection, such as the crystal bag, an ingenious invention by Jacques and Didier Jumeau-Lafon. The specific features of this nylon tea bag allow the qualities of the teas to be preserved as if they were loose. In 2005, when Dammann Frères was the preferred supplier of all the largest delicatessens, a new visual identity was created and the product range was emancipated. Dammann Frères Tea House is now present in more than 60 countries. The sign is no longer to be presented.
Factory store: The production site and the adjoining factory store moved to Dreux in 2011. It is a popular stopover for tea lovers. Indeed, all teas and their derivatives are available in the factory shop: tea in bulk or in bags, in bulk or in boxes. There's something for everyone! Jars, cups, teapots, filters, boxes and gift boxes enhance the desire to please. All this is offered at preferential prices.
Not to be missed! Last weekend in November or the first weekend in December (it varies), the Dammann factory outlet store in Dreux organises its Christmas sale, with additional discounts on all products on sale in the shop.
