Museum to discover the wine tradition as well as the arts and popular traditions of Dreux.
The winegrowing tradition of Rouaise, extinct in the 19th century, is revived thanks to the museum, which is also devoted to popular arts and traditions. You will discover thousands of tools and utensils from our ancestors, as well as old trades. The Gothic vaulted cellars of the Saint-Thibault priory (12th century), dug into the cliff, complete the discovery. A short detour to the museum's wine cellar: there, 900 Chardonnay vines planted in 1989 are spread out before our eyes, producing a delicious little wine made in the cellar. The amateurs will be able to taste a famous local white wine! Drink in moderation, of course.
