MUSEUM OF THE FORTIFIED REFUGE
Interpretation center illustrating life in the refuge at the time, and preserving defensive architectural monuments
Two houses have been converted into a site interpretation center, illustrating life in the refuge at the time. Very well preserved, which is rare, the 13th-century refuge provides an insight into how life was organized in these defensive architectural monuments. It was originally equipped with a crenellated, covered parapet walk, of which only the sandstone rubble perimeter wall remains, also used in the construction of the maisonnettes. Their basements bear discreet traces of the former cellars or gaden.
