MERCURIA-FESTIVAL DE FOLKLORE INTERNATIONAL
For a quarter century, the festival of international folklore has been organized in Argenton-sur-Creuse. All the music is mixed up, from Cuban salsa to country of the United States, through the old berrichess or Russian, Philippine and Colombian dances. Guest groups perform street shows where everyone can enjoy colorful costumes and rhythmic dances. Trad balls make passers-by dance. Then shows take place in the room. Every year, five or six groups are invited to regale some 3,000 spectators. Groups can come from Georgia, Taiwan or Gascogne, depending on the years.
