SAINT-SAUVEUR CHURCH
Church located in the center of town, the only place of worship for the inhabitants of Argenton-sur-Creuse.
The first stones of Saint-Sauveur church date back to the XIIᵉ century, but the majority of what can be seen today dates from the XVᵉ. It was subsequently extensively restored in the XIXᵉ century in the neo-Gothic style.
Its high, openwork spire and cross-vaulted nave are particularly impressive. Situated right in the center of town, on the pedestrian street, it is also open for concerts. The choir is adorned with fine 19thᵉ century stained glass, created by the Charles Lévêque workshop in Beauvais (the same workshop worked on the Prissac church).
