The church was beautifully restored in the 2000 s. It dates from the xiith century for the nef and the choir. The massive bell is rather the end of the Middle Ages. It contains a beautiful graveled stone for the lord of Huet de Varennes and his wife Jeanne de Lancosme. The interior of the church is fully painted. The paintings adorning its walls are in the spirit of the church of Nohant-Vic, but they were carried out between 1947 and 1952 by Claude Malespine. The colors are very bright and the whole creates a striking effect for the visitor who is struggling to date these paintings.
