A music festival dedicated to Franz Liszt is organized every year in Châteauroux by the association Lisztomanias International. He recalls the visits the musician made to Nohant at George Sand. Quality concerts take place at the Chapelle des Rédemptoristes and in the large Auditorium of Equinoxe. Since 2002, virtuosos have been invited to perform for the greatest happiness of the listeners. In 2017, the theme was Bohemia. Concerts are at a low rate to allow everyone to attend. Workshops and conferences are also organized. Reservations are made at the Châteauroux Tourist Office. A free workshop is available for children aged 7 to 11, on reservation.
