NOTRE DAME CHURCH
This neo-Romanesque church houses a 6-metre-high golden Madonna.
Built in the neo-Romanesque style, this church was designed by Dauvergne, inspired by the church in Issoire, Puy-de-Dôme, and inaugurated in 1892. At the time, it was intended to replace the outdated Capucins church, which was about to be demolished.
Notre-Dame features a 6-metre-high golden Virgin Mary perched on its dome, and its steeple rises to a height of 50 metres. The interior features a series of capitals by Girault-Dupin. A 16th-century Pietà has also been reinstalled in a chapel.
