SAINT-ANDRÉ CHURCH
Neo-Gothic style church consecrated in 1876, built on plans by the architect Henri Dauvergne in Châteauroux.
Inaugurated in 1876, the neo-Gothic Saint-André church was built to plans by architect Henri Dauvergne. Its two 60 m-high spires stand out from afar. Its triple portal is richly sculpted and bears a curious inscription for a church: "République française" (French Republic).
The church's rich furnishings include a baptismal font, a handsome high altar, a wrought-iron chandelier and two 18th-century paintings: The Marriage of the Virgin and The Flight into Egypt, donated by General Bertrand.
