This church is remarkable for the Romanesque capitals carved on its columns and portal.
The former collegiate church of Saint-Outrille dates back to the 12th century. It is remarkable for the Romanesque capitals carved on its columns and portal. The elevation of the nave and the Romanesque pillars supporting the barrel vault are particularly admirable. A fine 19th-century stained glass windowdepicts the Tree of Jesse, the work of the Lobin workshop in Tours. The baptismal font chapel dates from the 15th century. A 15th-century mutilated Christ and a 17th-century Virgin and Child are on display. Don't miss the 17th-century wooden stalls in the choir.
