Le menhir de la ferme, a mysterious 1.70 m high monument surrounded by popular legend in Châtillon-sur-Indre.
Located near the farm of the same name, in the commune of Châtillon-sur-Indre, the Menhir de la Gambade stands around 1.70 metres high. However, you won't be able to see all of it, as the menhir is partially buried, which has contributed to its legend.
Popular belief had it that the menhir grew a few centimetres each year, whereas in reality, it was the soil that was compacted by cattle, revealing a little more of the buried part of the Menhir de la Gambade over the years!
