À Eguzon, on célèbre la châtaigne : on la grille, on la croque, on la fête... et on en fait une excuse pour boire du cidre !
Every year, on November 1, Eguzon celebrates chestnut in memory of the exploitation of this fruit and wood that made the richness of the territory (chestnut doughs shipped to Cognac). The brotherhood of "chestnut and chestnut flavors" organizes a two-day celebration. There are tons of chestnuts and thousands of liters of cider pressed on site. Recipes and know-how are discovered around the exploitation of wood (sculpture, basement, bushel, art around chestnut). It is a local product lounge, a hiking lounge and a musical party with bandas to brighten the streets. Several hiking circuits are offered around the lake and in the Creuse valley (on foot, by bike and on horseback).
